Job Description Florida law firm specializing in family law has an opportunity for a mid-level associate attorney to join their awesome team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising attorney in management of family law cases
- Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
- Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
- Telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits
- Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial
- Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
Qualifications
- Must be admitted to and in good standing with the Florida bar
- Two to ten plus years of family law experience desired
- A fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team
